A pinecone is small, but it carries the story of hope and becoming.

It begins quietly, often unnoticed, growing among the branches before eventually falling to the forest floor. It hold seeds within — tiny beginnings with the potential to become something much larger, in their own time. A pinecone does not rush its opening. It weathers storms, waits for the right conditions, then slowly releases what it has been holding.

We chose the pinecone as our first piece because it reminded us that beginnings often look small, quiet, and deeply personal.

Some seasons ask us to start again. Some ask us to wait, to grow quietly, to gather resource, or simply to rest. The pinecone holds all of these possibilities at once: resilience, becoming, and the courage to begin again.

We like to think of it as a little reminder that what is growing within us does not need to be hurried. That small beginnings can hold great possibility. That there is beauty in becoming, even when we cannot yet see what is to come.
